Ride Rules
To ensure a safe and enjoyable group ride we ask all participants to adhere to the following:
- Participants should at all times wear protective cycling headwear and adhere to the South African traffic laws at any stage along the route
- Participant bikes should be equipped with sufficient lighting, both front and rear lights to be visible to other road users
- Participants should use a GPS navigation device (to which gpx. File format could be uploaded) as there won’t be any directions given on route
- Any foreseen personal medication should be carried on a person during the during participation (i.e. Anti-anaphylactic auto-injectors or asthma inhalers)
- As far as possible, participants should ride in groups to provide support and assistance if necessary and to stay off public tar roads
- All participants are required to check-in at the start, multiple waterpoints, and finish (this is necessary as a general safety precaution)
NIKA’s responsibilities
- Organize the Moos Mini-Munga 2022 group ride
- Provide three static water points along the route
- Arrange medical support during the ride with a support vehicle
- Provide accommodation and meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast) at Singita
Participant’s responsibilities
- Purchase a bicycle/scooter from a specified list to donate toward students in NIKA Capital NPC’s beneficiary network (or other event partners such as the Middelburg Care Village)
- Adhere to group ride rules as stated and communicated
- Sign event indemnity forms (Moos Mini-Munga 2022 & Singita)
- Arrange own transport back from Moosrivier farm (On Sunday, after the event)
